I'll have to put this one on today:

29th February 1824 my 3x great grandparents Samuel Bills and Ann Bates married in St Giles Without Cripplegate. Samuel was born in Grantham Lincolnshire and Ann in Spalding. I dont know what took them to London but by 1841 Samuel was a Licenced Victualler at The White Lion 17 Upper Thames Street St Benet Pauls Wharf,  and in 1851 at 96 Pennington St, Tower Hamlets, St George in The East. Ann died in 1852  and unfortunately by 1861 Samuel was in the workhouse and died in 1868 aged 70.

Only 3 today, I can't believe it and they're not even close ancestors.

Minnie Brand my 1st cousin twice removed was born in Harpurhey, Manchester in 1890.

Mary Daintree my 8 x g.g.aunt was baptised in Haddenham, Cambridgeshire in 1640/41

Margaret Postlethwaite my 3 x g.g.aunt was baptised St Cuthbert’s Church, Aldingham, Lancashire in 1790.  She was born on 30 January 1790 and was buried on 6 January 1800.

Happy birthday to AlpineCottage's daughter.  You reminded me to check if I had any ancestors doing anything on 29 Feb.  Well I haven't but my husband has two  ::)

Charles Dyke my husband’s 4 x g.g.uncle was born in Hatton, Warwickshire in 1772

Richard Whittaker my husband’s 3 x g.grandfather was buried at Hatherlow Congregational Chapel, Hatherlow, Stockport, Cheshire in 1836.  His age at death (2 days previously) was given as 66 but we have not yet found a birth as we don’t know where he came from.

28th February 1836, Robert Bushby was baptised in Northallerton. - 3 x great uncle.

29th February 1768 John Favell was born in Spennithorne. 6 x great uncle. I have a friend whose birthday is 29th. Apart from being a bit of a pain, ony having a birthday every four years, she did point out that it means she is nowhere near as old as she would have been, had she been born the next day! ;D

I don't think I need to lock it. There might be people who forgot a February anniversary and who want to add it.

But yes, Lydart is right - there is a March thread and that's where we should be now. :)
