R.I.P Di (Tiffaney)
« on: Saturday 26 January 13 03:51 GMT (UK) »
Just received a email regarding one of our Rootschat members passing away.
Her name was Di and she had a New Zealand site named ancestralsearch.proboards.com.
We both shared and swapped info regarding Scottish links coming to New Zealand and I am sure she has helped many others on the New Zealand broad.  (I am unsure what her name was for R.C)
It sounds as if she took really ill with a painful illness.
All our thoughts go out to her family.

Di's User name is Tiffaney

Suzy W

PENTECOST of Surrey and New Zealand
POTENTIER of France, England and Canada
WATKINS of London and New Zealand
WHITAKER of Guiseley Yorkshire and New Zealand
LYALL, of Dundee, Caithness and New Zealand

And far too many to add

Tiffaney has been a member for a few years but it is my extremely sad duty to inform members that she has passed away after a painful illness borne bravely.

I am unable to find anywhere else to post this message, nor help locating such, hence my posting it here.

If anyone wishes to discuss Tiffany's passing, please pm me.

Thanks,

James.

Sorry to hear the sad news  :( but thanks Suzy,  I recognised the name immediately for her postings although I don't recall sharing any particular threads. Condolences to her family and to her friends on RootsChat and other boards ... Bless x mare

I'm in contact with the family.  Also, she had some forums and I've sent messages out to members, some of whom probably have used Rootschat.

That's very sad news indeed.
Our thoughts are with Di's family and her friends.
As we can see from her messages on here, she was indeed a person who really wanted to help others.

Yes, she loved helping folk.

She died with a smile on her face, at peace, which I feel is very moving.

This is her main forum which I first set up for her:
