Death of a young boy
« on: Friday 25 January 13 17:16 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone able to do a look up please in the Andrews Newspaper Index Cards, I have information about the death of a young boy which I am struggling to confirm, I have his name as Philip Wright born in Rugby 1935, I am told he died of drowning at the coast as a young child, yet with all my searches, I am coming up with nothing.  There is a card for a Philip Wright dated 15th Feb 1943.

Thankyou in advance

That entry is about a Captain Philip Wright executor to Richard Gane Wright

I cannot see a possible death for Philip born 1935 as a child  :-\

Where/who did the info come from?  What would be his connection to you as we can sometimes use that as a criteria for searching

I can see his birth in Rugby in 1935

Where abouts did this accident happen? Could it have been in Scotland or overseas?

I too can see his birth, but no death that looks likely

Thankyou Rosie99, wrong once again !  thankyou for looking. The information came from a family member, who was his cousin but also young himself and he believes it was a trip to the seaside in the UK somewhere, he remembers the whole family being devastated, but as the years have passed he struggles to remember anything else, I am trying to confirm he is correct, he thinks it was Philip but definately a "Wright" boy.  Nothing factual I am afraid.
I appreciate all your help.

I am a bit confused but I can clarify (and eliminate) Richard Gane Wright, Born 1 January 1887, Gisburn, Yorkshire and his son Philip Richard Thomas Wright, born 1911 Ceylon or India, killed Arnhem, Holland, 19 September 1944.

Richard Gane Wright married twice to:

a. Gladwys Sissie Chaning-Pearce, 2 April 1910, Colombo, Ceylon. Gladwys died 10 May 1918, Lahore, India.
b. Rosella Lois Chaning-Pearce, youngest sister of Gladwys, 28 July 1919, Sandwich, Kent. Richard and Rosella Lois left for India soon after the marriage.
