Proni Visit
« on: Sunday 20 January 13 11:00 GMT (UK) »
Hello all I am planning a one day visit to PRONI from London before I take a weeks trip to Dungannon in few months. I am wondering if anyone could help with how to get there from Belfast International Airport. I have tried looking online for trains etc but to be honest I have no idea.
Any advice would be welcomed Thank You.

Belfast International Airport isn't in Belfast but there are plenty of buses into Belfast from the airport. Like most airport websites, they have a section on ground transport-

PRONI also has a section on getting there-

You need photo id to get your readers ticket at PRONI. Be sure to have that with you for your first visit.

Bus service from airport into Belfast - it is explained in great detail on BFS website:

The bus from Belfast International Airport takes you to Gt Victoria St. If you then want to get a bus to PRONI, you need to walk round to the City Hall (5 mins) and get a bus from there. (Several different bus numbers go to PRONI. There’s an info point at the City Hall bus stand and they’ll direct you.) Or you can get the train from Gt Victoria St (the bus and train stations are in the one building) to Titanic station which is a 5 mins walk from PRONI. (Bangor line trains).

Be aware that if you have luggage, you’ll need to store it somewhere before you get to PRONI. PRONI have lockers for coats and jackets but they can’t accommodate suitcases and you can’t take them into the search rooms.

Just wondering.  I assume you cant fly to the George Best City airport?  It would be less than 5 minutes in a taxi to get to PRONI - giving you more time there....

Hello I did look at flying to there but no flights from Stansted or city airport which are my 2 closest airports.
