I am an indexer using family search is there a place to share batches here on Roots Chat?

Rootschat doesn't have any connection with the Family Search site. If you are indexing for that site there's no need to post the same information on Rootschat.

Familysearch is free to use like Rootschat, and so there would be no advantage of sharing batches on this website. It would just confuse things. This site is more used for people asking others for help, and many users do use Familysearch to find records. This isn't a search site like Ancestry of Familysearch.

Well done for Familysearch indexing, it really is a great way to help out in the genealogical world. I find Familysearch's parish registers incredibly useful, just a shame they don't have any for Oxfordshire :(

I was asking more about handwriting help and you cannot simply copy and paste an image from indexing pages and was wondering how to receive help with the handwriting.

Yeah, it is a lot of fun, especially the 1660's parish records (I mainly index Derbyshire and some Dorset).

Hi

There are resources for help in the 2 topics at the top of this board

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,425.0.html

It is not always possible to post images on Rootschat as many of them are subject to copyright. Small snippets for deciphering help are allowed though.
