Thank you for the clarification.

Ok, so now we have a birth year of c1841 for Rose Ann and both parents names.

The earliest baptismal records start in 1835 for 2nd Ahoghill and marriages begin in 1836, so there is a possibility, if her family had association with the church she married in, her birth may have been recorded there too - her birth is too early for Civil Registration in Ireland.

These church records would be available to search on microfilm at PRONI or a film could possibly be ordered in by you at a LDS centre if you live near one.

Slight problem arises, though, in that you say now Rose Ann Gailey's father was a William Gailey, yet the Rose Ann Gailey who married James Tippen, apparently, according to earlier posts above, had father James (albeit names on death certificates are only as good as the knowledge of the person giving them, and mistakes are not unusual).

Forgot to ask, do you have copies of any of the birth certificates for james and Rose Ann's children born Scotland.....do they concur with the marriage in Ahoghill in 1858?

Hi scotmum

Yes i have now checked some marriage and birth certificates which confirm that James Tippen and Rose Ann Gailey are my Great Great Grandparents.

The problem has been the spelling in Scotland Tippen as Tippin and finally Tipping
Gailey as Gailley Galley Gallie even Gillie .

So I am looking for Irish records Births 1858 to about 1866 as I have all the children born in Scotland.
Marriage was in Aohghill 2nd presbyterian 9th nov 1858
James Tippen and Rose Ann Gailey
Father William Tippen and father James Gailey mother from death cert  Rose ann gailey ms Pritchard.

I am looking for the parents  William  Tippen and his wife and  James Gailey  and any other children.

I am looking for births  to James Tippen and Rose Ann Gailley 1858  to 1866
James abt 1862, Rose Ann abt 1863, Jane abt 1864 and William Tippen abt 1865

Thanks for any information

Colin
