Hi TomDodds, that could be a possibility that Eunice died in childbirth and the child died several months later in the early part of 1909, I had not thought along those lines.

Assuming her death was in 1908 at the age of 28 the 1901 cesus would have her around the age of 21 so could it be they were not married ie together then?

They were married/together in 1901 as they were married in Sept 1/4 1896.

Hi everyone, it looks as if Eunice died while giving birth to Eunice Evelyn, according to what I have found (freeBMD) Eunice died March 1908 and Eunice Evelyn was born in March 1908 even if freeBMD show the results in "monthly quarters" it is too much of a coincidence to be wrong, Eunice Evelyn then died in March 1909 at approx 9 months of age.
However I can still find no trace of Eunice in the 1901 census  :(
