Does anyone recognise where this photo was taken in the 1930’s

 The lorry is Pirelli-General Cable Works Southampton, they were in of Western Shore, from 1914 the people were members of the Home league from Ryde Isle of Wight.

hello.....it maybe Ventnor, going down the hill from the town to the beach. the people are sitting opposite the theatre. i think ??!!

Hi, this is taken in the upper gardens in Bournemouth.Near to the war memorial, I recognised the wall !
There is a picture on flickr that shows the tower which is next-door to what is now the town hall.

My first time that I have recognised anywhere !  ;D

Thank you  Bessant, I at first thought that, but couldn't remember a tower.

Thank you ablemabel, well done, I have had a look at the Photos on flickr & google maps.
Now I have to find out who the people were, I think I know first row sitting apart from the lady 2nd from the left, I also know the boy.
