You may have what I've found, Shally, but I started to check out what was on the online tree, as I have a deep mistrust of online trees as anything other than a guide.
As you say William Price BARRETT did go to Broken Hill, that verifies that more of the family went too. The names I've found seems to suggest they did.
As Cando has raised doubts about William P BARRETT's death in Broken Hill, if you don't have the certificate, I suggest you get a transcription. It will either prove or disprove it.
The tree mentioned that the child Charles HENRY Augustus BARRETT born to Henry George BARRETT & Sincere Amelia LAMBE. It then went on to list his marriage and his children, and I found them on the NSW indexes, which I presume you have done. Next I found his second marriage in South Australia, and his age is right to be the BARRETT/LAMBE child. The record also had the symbol D, and I found the following in Trove newspapers....
Divorce in 1923
http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/65056289In case you don't have the following details....
Charles Augustus BARRETT aged 74 of Prospect died on 28th July 1948 at Eastwood.
No relative listed.
Ref = Nor H 729/3766
Such a pity once again there is no relative listed!
I have a question to ask, so PM about to come.
