I have stewarts in the Rutherglen area tho whether the same ones without any names or dates is hard to tell. Not sure why this in the Renfrewshire board tho given Rutherglen is in Lanarkshire?

Hi Ann

It was originally in Argyll but I think it's been moved to  Renfrewshire because the Bessie Lindsay (who  married Andrew Stewart),  the subject of the topic heading,  and her family lived in Kilbarchan. She married Andrew Stewart in Rutherglen, 1938 and died there in 1973.
