Is this the same person - a Bessie (Scott)  Lindsay possibly marrying an Andrew Stewart (who died circa 1973)

Scotlands People have such a marriage in 1938, Rutherglen.  If you were to obtain the cert it would give information on her parents.

Not sure if it's the same one but, again on SP, there is a birth reg for a Bessie Scott Lindsay in 1893, Kilbarchan, Rennfrewshire. You can view the index and the cert for 1+5 credits on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

She would also be likely to show with her parents on the 1901 and 1911 censuses.

SP has Bessie Scott Stewart (other name Lindsay) dying, Rutherglen in 1973, aged 80 - so born circa 1893. This fits with the birth in Kilbarchan that I found earlier so it does look as if the family that I found on the 1901 is the correct one.

There is a marriage in 1893 in Forfar, Angus for a William Lindsay and a Margaret Kelly Scott.  This looks like her parents. Not sure what they were doing in Angus as the 1901 has them b. Kilbarchan.

Note - I don't think so as there ages and occupations are different from the census

Bessie's birth cert has her parents as William Lindsay, warper and Maggie, m.s. McIntyre.  They married August 12th 1892 according to the  cert.
