Cause of Death 1922--Marasnuis
« on: Thursday 03 January 13 09:02 GMT (UK) »
Our 62 year old female ancestor died in Liverpool on the 1st of April 1922 and the cause of death is listed as "Marasnuis".  I've googled "Marasnuis" and have been presented with the word "marasmus--a form of severe malnutrition" which typically strikes children.  Can anyone tell me whether "Marasnuis & marasmus" are one in the same?
Cheers,
Renee

Yes, it looks like a misspelling or misreading of Marasmus.  Here is a good site to have bookmarked - this is the "M" page :) http://www.antiquusmorbus.com/English/EnglishM.htm
