1881 problem
« on: Thursday 02 June 05 15:30 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a familt on the 1881 census.
They were married in 1879 in Birmingham and had a daughter in 1880. They had another daughter in 1882 in birmingham but they are not on the 1881 census.

              ANY IDEAS?

   Thanx    Jacqui

THANK YOU

 WILLIAM SCOINS b/ 1852
CAROLINE SCOINS nee CROSBEE b/c 1853
 ELIZABETH SCOINS b/1880
Possibly ALICE SCOINS born about 1881
possibly ELMA SCOINS i dont know when she was born.

All of them were born in BIRMINGHAM except WILLIAM who was born in devon.
As the children were born in BIRMINGHAM i presume that is where they were in 1881.
   Thanx Again

??? They do seem to have gone into hiding ??? I've searched every which way in 1881 but so far none of them are showing. Have you found them on any other census?  Jan

In 1871 they are separate but in 1885 WILLIAM SCOINS took all the children to CANADA.
It is believed he was seratated from CAROLINE when he went to Canada ,so i dont know what happened to her.
   Hope this helps

Hi

Have been searching with all the different ways I can think of changing the name but can not find them, searched on the IGI all I could find is a
Caroline Crosbee born 23/5/1853
christened 26/6/1853
parents Mark Crosbee and Mary
if this is your Caroline she did not go back to live with her parents.
Have also had a quick look on 1837 online but cannot find them there either all I can find is the marriage that you already have.
Will carry on looking you never know they may turn up.
