On this day 26.1.1845 Mina McKenzie was born at Helmsdale Loth daughter to Alexander McKenzie and Janet Mackay Gordon
She emigrated to New Zealand with her elder brother James about 1862-3
and her cousin John Polson never to see some of her family again( although more emigrated in 1877 )
Mina married James Henry 22.4.1870 at The Manse Springston she died 4 .12.1926
Mina and James had two of a family Margaret John
Through Rootschat I was able to find out a lot more from a 2nd cousin fro New Zealand who also shares her birthday today .Thanks to her I know more about my McKenzie family
