Abraham Hobson my 3 x g.g.uncle was born in Bridge End, Lockwood, Yorkshire in 1786
Sarah Hobson, twin sister of Abraham and my 3 x g.g.aunt was also born in Bridge End, Lockwood, Yorkshire in 1786. I have no idea who was the first born, although Abraham’s name is listed first in the parish record of their baptism. Their father my 4 x g.grandfather was a shopkeeper at the time of the twins’ baptism, although earlier he had been a drysalter. His will showed he had a shop as well as a dyehouse.
Thomas Tubbs my 5 x g.grandfather was baptised in Sutton, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire in 1733/34. He was 5 years old at the time of his baptism, but I cannot find any younger siblings who may have been baptised at the same time so I have no idea why is baptism was delayed. Stephen Spraggett my husband’s 3 x g.g.uncle was baptised in Leamington Hastings in 1797. He was the 11th of 15 children and died aged nearly 15 in December 1812.
Jane Stanton a very distant 1st cousin 5 times removed was born in Spalding, Lincolnshire in 1837. Apart from her birth and baptism, the only other info I have about her is that she died in Australia.
John Collett an even more distant 2nd cousin 5 times removed was baptised in Wilby, Suffolk in 1783. As an adult he became a tailor.
