Is it the same family though?
Why would she be baptised in Willenhall - there is no connection with Willenhall/Wolverhampton with parents or other children.
Although I think Nellie (Ellen?) was registered in Wolverhampton.

All the places have connections to canals! ;D

Yes I figured that out myself  ::) ;) However, as they were living in a house, I thought it quite plausible that he went off to work as a boatman whilst family remained static.

Maybe the canal work was seasonal - or at least, the family might have travelled witrh father during the summers?

It just seems to be a little coincidental that Willenhall is on the canal network?

I am sure you are right and presumably Ann feels that it is the same family.
Perhaps the original parish record has more information.

Family Search has Florence born 22 October on index page although nothing to indicate that on the record. :-\

thank you to pels for supporting my post, and other replies. i did put a RETRY on top of post, you never know when doing research its easy to miss things when trying to hard, always  another pair of eyes is good and sometimes new info comes to light.    i know  the children where baptised at different churches along the canal route,i can only presume the family went on the boat at times and lived in house at others i have no doubt its same family.
i didnt see the mention of a marriage on theother posts its a possibility it could be florence to h marshell

Also if you look at the marriage on Staffsbmd (Newcastle, Methodist Church ( Ebenezer)) it gives an *Alternative* surname of Ellerton for Florence.

Not her then as she was the wife of James Flattley, obviously a second marriage.

I haven't looked at Staffs BMD but I think that person had originally been a Florence Ellerton, she married a James Flattley - she then married again to H Marshall. So Flattley wasn't Florence's maiden name, it was Ellerton.

Hoping I've made sense out of that !  :)
