I think there is a site called Woodchurch marriages and this site covers quite a large area in Kent.If the name is wrong try googling Marriage records in Kent and Im sure it will come up.I know it covered Hawkkhurst which isn't far from Lamberhurst.

I have a cd that has marriages on it from Sussex. It shows a marriage for Mary and Thomas and it give the date as 15/9/1777 in Lamberhurst. It also says that Thomas came from Godstone. I hope this is of help. Poppyann

Thank you so much Poppy Ann, that is really great. Incidentally is Thomas Pickett or Prickett?
Could you tell me where you bought the CD from and what area it covers?

No problem I was happy to help.He was Thomas Prickett. I got the cd from Sussex Family History Group. It covers marriages in Sussex if you do an online search for the group you can order it on line.

Sorry if I am being silly but aren't Lamberhurst and Gouldhurst in Kent?
I found the SFHG website but am not sure which one you have (unfortunately cannot afford them all!).
Is it the Sussex Marriage Index CD ref C000?

Yes, Lamberhurst and Goudhurst are in Kent but near Sussex. I don't know why the Lamberhurst marriages are on the Sussex Marriages cd. This cd is only worth having if you have a lot of ancestors who live in Sussex. The cd is called The Sussex Marriage Index. I hope this info is of use to you. I am a member of the SFHG and looking in my latest magazine it doesn't give a code number so I have looked on their website and it says C000 as you say.

Thank you for your advise. I was a member of SFHG for a while but as my lot were in the Army and moved around my research covers about 10 counties which gets very expensive. I am tempted by the CD. Does the information contain details of witnesses and parents etc?
