Have just found my g.aunt ,who died in 1901 , daughter survived and was raised by her father and his second wife in Monmouthshire. She has then turned up in 1960 married to John Chippendale in Stockport. They were both deceased by 1973. Does anyone have a connection to Tom Chippendale or any information on this family? Any help greatly appreciated as Agnes seems to be a family secret.

Tom Chippendale married Agnes Miriam Louisa Gough in 1960 Stockport,  Civil Marriage.
If you get the marriage certificate, it should have his father's name and whether he was divorced or single.

When he died in Stockport in 1970, he was 87 and his birthdate is given as Jul 1882

There is a marriage in 1905 in Halifax for a Tom Chippendale and Florence Webb
There is a www1 record for Tom Chippendale born Halifax married to Florence Webb Registry Office Halifax 11th February 1905. There were 3 children from this marriage, Elsie 1908, Blanche 1909 and Rose 1910. They lived at 47 Melbourne Street Salford. He was in the Lancashire Fusiliers.

There is a death for a Florence Chippendale in Manchester in 1959 aged 73 born about 1886

Elsie Chippendale died 1919 aged 13 Salford
Blanche Chippendale married Alfred Ditchfield in 1931 at Pendleton St Thomas Salford.
It looks like there are at least 2 sons from this marriage but they might still be living so I will not put their names on here.

Some more information to look at

Rose Elizabeth Chippendale married William R Lansley in 1930 Salford,St Ambrose
It looks like they might have had a daughter in 1933 and a son in 1936 Salford
I think that the son married in 1958 and possibly had three sons.

Of course, this might not be the correct family.

If this is the correct Tom Chippendale, he might be the son of Peter Chippendale and Elizabeth Steel
