Catherine Short nee Frampton was b 1806 Wimborne

Emma Frampton b 1822 was b Downton Wiltshire - shown as niece in 1851

If Catherine & Reuben only married in 1839 - there is a son William Short shown as aged 5 in 1841 but nothing on the IGI re: a baptism under Short or Frampton

No marriage details on the IGI either to check if Catherine was prev married given she was 33yrs old in 1839

Louisa Frampton was b Wimborne approx 1819 and there is no marriage showing on freebmd although John Francis Chevalley went on to marry twice more after Louisa's death

IF - Louisa was previously married - she would have re-married under her married name but her son's birth cert would show her true maiden/birth surname

However - there is no marriage on freebmd between John Francis C and a Louisa of any surname

The baptismal entry has Cheavlly crossed out and then replaced with Chevallier; he is described as a Man Cook. There are some other Chevalliers having children at the same time in Yetminster, Dorset. Yetminster is on the other side of Dorset (although a Louisa Frampton was born in Evershot in 1820 which is nearby).

I have an interest in the Wimborne Framptons - there were 100s - as one was the first occupier of my house in 1862. I'm not at home now, but will see if I have come across Louisa when I get back.

Hi Richard, Great to find someone with an interest in the Wimborne Framptons. I have not found the baptismal record so I would be interested to see that. I find this search very interesting as I am actually researching my wife's Chevalley family and found this connection with my Frampton surname. Any help would be much appreciated.
