Things are settling in, Trystan

Still having the photo upload problem....not only do get the "same filename" message, but I cannot change the filename in my photo editor. Says the name cannot be changed because the file is in use by another user. Which it is not. And when you're posting to Ye Inne and your filename is something like ye-meade-ande-sweetmeates1, you know there probably isn't really another photo with the same filename

What's going on??

China - please send me a Personal Message about this and we'll see if we can sort it out, as I'm unable to copy your problem at the moment. It may possibly because be I'm being thick. We're 38 pages into a thread, so avoiding duplication of a problem or comment on here would be great.

No, I read each and every one of the postings to do with the site. In some cases they are utterly demoralising and very hurtful

I work in a Government dept and know to my cost how complicated any new IT changes are, so quite happy to try and give it time to sort out, but can anyone tell me if there is any replacement for the old 'new replies to your posts' that used to sit at the top of each page?  Can't find it anywhere, and that was really useful.
I think I'l need to spend some time adjusting my zoom or view, because I can only see one section of each page at a time.
So far, just confused but I'm sure it will all settle down.
What did take ages was trying to remember what my password had been, it's so long since I had to log in.   Finally found it..
