Bit of a surprise when I dropped by, but I have to agree with my OH (don't I?) - the content and the people are the same, and that's the value.

One odd thing is that some of the county boards are showing up in old format - but it doesn't worry me.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the narrowness and colour of the thread titles - perhaps they should be bold?

Anyway thanks for all your hard work, Trystan - wouldn't want you to feel that it's a thankless task.  I doubt though that you and Sarah expected the site to be so thriving as it approaches its 10th birthday

Just found (another) problem I think, Trystan....when posting a reply with an image attached and getting the "red notice" of another reply just having been posted, when I try again I find there is "already an image with that filename". Seems the photo is being uploaded to the server while the post is rejected...this has just happened 6 times and I said some very rude words

Suggestions?:....can you fix this? And I don't mean wash my mouth out with soap

Pels, I probably don't know what I'm talking about       but have you set your zoom level at 125% ?  Your screen looks the same as mine and because of my eyesight I have set mine at 125.

When I use the ctrl- my screen looks like Brevitas and I noticed when I then googled something that my zoom had changed to 100%
I think I'm going to have to leave my screen looking the same as yours because it is an eyestrain to read the print when it's smaller.

It's set at 100% (control - 0) I haven't touched anything. The font 'brevitas' has looks as though it's in 'block' compared to mine ? Her image will look slightly different because we have our settings the opposite way round - therefore the background colour is different on the examples I'm using.

Another upshot of the revamp is that this thread is throwing up ways to use our computers and the site that we didn't know about

May we please have current Date & Time displayed on each screen - just like before

I used this all the time (being in a different time/date zone) to see how old a message/post is.

Still playing with all the new functionality

Thank you for sorting out the problem with being able to see our own profiles as others see them. I use mine quite regularly, not because I like looking at myself but because I tend to forget where a particular thread is, so refer to my own posts as a way of keeping track!

Lady Di, you asked so nicely, so yes, now you should see it on the top-right (it's a little feint though).
