Now I'm a bit bewildered - just read a 'New' thread which was posted at 01.38 today (for a William Henry Tree) - when I clicked on it to read it, it came up in the 'old' format???

Why could this have happened?

Annette

Gremlins in the works I expect. There are bound to be teething problems, but the more I use it, the more I like it. There are some very good features that make it much easier to use.

I don't know whether it's been mentioned yet, ... but when people post photos, now, they're teeny-tiny.  We who are declining into decrepitude can't see 'em  :-\

Any clues, Bob?

Please get rid of the narrower font in the red brown colour it is awful and looks amateur

I have to agree with Stonechat on this.  Brown doesn't seem too bad for the individual names but not for the titles of threads on the 'unread' page.  The larger one increases the screen the better the font looks but as I prefer to read at a size suitable for my eyes the brown just looks blurry and the font (whichever it is) aggravating.
Why so many different fonts - and colours - used anyway?  Too much of a good thing etc.....
With age, or for those with less that perfect eyesight, focussing takes longer between differences; whether large to small, narrow/broad or near/far, and although I realise that not all RCers are old codgers perhaps having a little empathy for those with difficulties is not too much to ask.

I realise this may seem like a complaining rant, but honestly, I do appreciate this site and all the work that is put into it. :)

Just a thought, is the drab brown because we are in winter in UK, and not much greenery around.   Lush and green elsewhere in the world ;)    Will UK spring make a difference?

Should maybe mention that I checked in on my phone today and found lovely clear blue and white.  Don't ask me to start posting from there though.  I prefer to be sitting comfortably at a keyboard, with perhaps a good cup of coffee and a choc biccy or two :D
I will also add that using the smaller screen at work (coffee break dontcha know), means that the grey bands down the side are not as wide.

Having now read the new posts placed since I started this I realise that I will be perceived to be in the 'moaning, nit-picking' bracket suggested by Nick but, if comments are invited surely that means ALL, and not just complimenary ones (hopefully without being banished  :'( )
I know technology is always advancing (where would we be without it?), and changes are made with a lot of thought going into them, but whatever is designed, the result should be of greatest advantage and comfort to the end-user .

Keep up the good work, but please - no brown text :-*

May I please ask just one more question?
You are not thinking of putting the site up for sale are you?    :o :o

Just noticed my surname interests at the bottom of my posts; they're all listed one under another, and I can't remember whether I set them up that way or not.  They'd use less space, if they were just separated by commas ... can Bob or a Mod fix that (for those of us having Seniors' Moments)?

You can do it yourself by going into your profile :)
