Actually the biccies was supposed to be amusing...it's really best to avoid sugar. Sugar and simple carbohydrates raise your blood sugar quickly, and when your insulin gets through clearing it all up, there isn't much left and you'll crash.

Of course, you knew that ;D

Dear Althea,

It is a lovely comment to say that the old side was wonderful and perfect, we have so many members and postings we were having problems with the old site going slow and also the old technology was only allowing so many people to chat at once in the old chatroom. Our aim with new site is to increase speed of posting, searching and extra functionality and allow other people to use the site who couldn't before.

Try not to be scared we will help you out.

Regards

Sarah ;)

Sad to see you have changed something that was wonderful and perfect  :'(
 :-\
Althea

Wonderful it may have been - and still is - but the old site was far from perfect!

Slow at times, and limitations on the numbers logged on.

Personally I think it's looking good ;D
A few teething problems, but nothing that can't be fixed.

Has anyone worked out how to read our own previous postings yet?

Thanks for that - we are aware of that, and we will fix that. :)

Thanks Trystan...... it was a good facility and we do need it back.

Merry Christmas to you  :D
Best wishes HL

We were warned well in advance, asked our opinion

We were??

I saw two posts about "we're shutting down in a few minutes"...that was it.

Sorry, I meant that we were warned that changes were afoot -

I don't think we quite understood just how drastic they turned out to be :o

As with all things that are new and change it takes a while to get into a different mindset. I have no issues with the change except trying to work out how to find something I posted previously as I want to add some information to it. I used to get to this through the profile. I have searched in and out (used the help which is still giving help for the old format! :-) ) and cannot find the way to get to it!

Sigh,
Merry Xmas to you all and a Happy and prosperous New Year to every Rootschater out there!
I tried being normal once, it was the worst 5 minutes of my life!

Well, I'm not in here every day. Not at all. Now I find a whole new look and seventeen pages about it.

Haven't read this thread. No need to. Knew it would exist. All I want to say is Love it!

Looks fresh and new. And, as for the ability to click back to the title board, having reached the bottom of a thread? God send! At last!

Dunno what everyone else is saying. But I like it a lot!

Thanks, Trystan  :)
