However, I'd like to say thank you to Trystan and Sarah for their continuing hardwork regarding the site and, whatever, my final thoughts on the layout it won't stop me coming here to follow other people's stories and ask for help and opinions.

Well said GfL!

I was a bit 'Yikes!' when I first logged in. I had a good play and I am liking. Can't do the phone thing as not been let loose with one of those new fangled phones but a great bonus for those who do. ;)

To those who are in the 'don't like/unsure' camp - give it a fair try! Click on things, have a play.

Change can be painful but it's not a bad thing especially when you get a better performing site which still does all the things it did before but better and all for free!

Ann :)

I have been studying TV ads and note that text is nearly always set on a contrasting background.

I find the pastel shades difficult read

I have great admiration for Tystan and Sarah and thank them for undertaking such a monumental task.

The colors don't bother me but the layout is cluttered and it is less easy to quickly scan down the list of new posts.

I think it is because of the colours that it is less easy to scan down - in my case so much so that I haven't posted anywhere but on this thread since the change. I live in hope that my eyes/brain will adjust soon as I'm really missing looking forward to coming here and quickly finding something interesting to become absorbed in :'(

I think it's because the name of the board is in small, italic letters whereas the name of the poster is in bold type.  To me, the name of the poster is much less relevant than the name of the board.  Also, the words "started by" are entirely unnecessary.

I am finding my eyes struggle with the pale blue background I get a headache with nausea a bit like a migraine, some say their background is white, but I am seeing pale blue with a white line between posts, typing this is fine as the background is white,Trystan, can anything be done to sort this out,I have had a few PM's from others having the same problem.
I lover everything else it is great, well done team
I have just noticed when a link is posted it is hard to see the blue type against the pale blue :o :o

I'm struggling with the background colour, too...which appears to be white on my PC.  Is there a way I can change the colour?  What about the font?  Can I change that as well....it's awful....letters look squashed together....

I'll still be here every day to see if I can help anyone though!  ;)

Many thanks Tristan, that worked.  All fixed now.   ;D  I have no idea how it happened as I don't own a tablet phone.
