Page 41 here. You know why you're only seeing 17 on the other side of the world? It's cause the world has ended for you, and things are winking out of existence.

The rest will disappear in a few hours.

Hey you - i'm on the other side of the world and I'm seeing 41 -  ;D ;D

Anyone noticed the really groovy little correct button,  bottom right of your post - you can change things really quickly with it - as I am doing now!    If it was always there, I've never noticed it before!

Definitely page 17 Maggie. And nicely said.

The thing is that at least Trystan and team are trying to please everyone (bless them) - most web sites would just have been changed and it would be tough if the punters didn't like it. The RC team do listen to us and bend over backwards to help. Of course there will be the odd little thing that is not perfect or not to everyone's taste, but that will always be the case with all sites. At least I hope Trystan doesn't see any of my 'suggestions' as criticisms, which is not my intention. Everything here on RC is in much the same place and I for one am used to it already.

It did even cross my mind if we should put together some kind of voluntary "collection plate" so we could raise some money to contribute towards the financial costs of making the changes to the site. I would have no idea how to go about this, or the logistics of collecting donations from the various rootschatters worldwide. A few pounds from each member may help a little? Thoughts anyone?

Tried to log on yesterday and my McAfee said " Whoah  do you really want to go there"  so I knew something was up and thought it likely that Trystan was  introducing the changes he had been talking about on here for a few weeks. I logged on tonight and had no problem  so I  read all of the comments both on here and the Photo Restoration Board thread.
Yes... It took a while but one can hardly comment or criticise if one hasn't EVEN taken the time  (about an hour ) to read all the the comments on the threads involved, especially when one considers the time (probably at least hundreds and hundreds of hours!) that must have been spent in developing the changes to bring this forum bang up to date.
Obviously some things have been modified in the last 18 -20 hours and I am seeing the results of those changes as opposed to seeing how the site looked immediately after the " changeover ".

I have to say I think it's fabulous Trystan and Sarah! Outstanding in design and clarity. Looks great on all platforms; smartphones, tablet,  laptop and desktop!  Well done Trystan and the gang. What generous souls you really are. Thank you, thank you ....This site means such a lot to so, so many people for lots of reasons and I, for one, am very grateful to you and Sarah for the gift that is RootsChat ...  or Rootschat.    ;) ( hey  .. upper or lower case ....it's not that important in the scheme of things.)  ;) ;D

As has been said the new format was  a bit uncomfortable but I am now used to it and have forgotten what it was like before. Thanks to the team for all their hard work and sorting the niggles.

Happy Christmas everyone.  Sandra
