I wasn't expecting such a change in style and was surprised.  But okay - things change - the human being gets used to changes - sometimes it takes a little more time.

I too thank Trystan and Sarah and all the mods for their relentless work over the years.

All the best for Christmas and the New Year.

It looks like brevitas has used the "Control +" in the browser which increases the size. The small vertical line on the stitching on that screenshot suggest that anyhow.

Hi again, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I've spoken to brevitas - she's cooking tea, but she said she hadn't used the control +, that's just her normal view from a 17'' laptop screen. Just checked and my monitor is 22". It wasn't the overall appearance, I really like that - it's the font that varies between hers and mine ?

Added : Hopefully a better example :

I've had a good play today and am liking. It still looks odd but that's just cos it's different.

The only thing that I'd change is to move the ads from appearing in the middle of threads but if it's not possible then it isn't.

Now that I know what's where, back to the serious business of finding them pesky ancestors!

To those who are not so keen - give it a go. Honestly you will find it easier as you go! It's still Rootschat and still has the same marvellous people. It just looks a wee bit different but in performance terms it's much faster which can only be a good thing!

Quickest way is control and zero. Takes you back to normal.  ;D

Thankyou Groom, I'll try and remember that though I'm not so sure there is such a thing as "normal" sometimes ;D

Pels, I probably don't know what I'm talking about   ::)    but have you set your zoom level at 125% ?  Your screen looks the same as mine and because of my eyesight I have set mine at 125.

When I use the ctrl- my screen looks like Brevitas and I noticed when I then googled something that my zoom had changed to 100%
I think I'm going to have to leave my screen looking the same as yours because it is an eyestrain to read the print when it's smaller.
Best wishes HL
