do this family actually exist.

Hi everyone merry christmas,
i am about to throw in the towel on this family as i can not find anything on them.
i have the marriage certificate of john jobson henderson (my grandfather) and thomasina cunningham (my grandmother) on my father's side. they were married in alnwick northumberland on the 31st may 1924. both were 22 years old. they both resided at west bolton alnwick. john's father was robert henderson a fleecer of motor wagaon and thomasina's father was thomas cunningham a gardener. the witnesses were  A henderson and marion henderson.
i have done numerous searches and have come up blank.
can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong

Hi Sharon, I do not know what searches you have carried out, but the Henderson family indeed do exist in Alnwick!

The birth of John was:-

John Jobson Henderson Dec qtr 1901 Alnwick 10b 472

A search of John Henderson b 1902 living in Alnwick, in the 1911 census, should locate him for you, unfortunatley we are not allowed to do the look up for you, but for the payment of a few credits you should get your answers?

Hi Sharon, unless I am mistaken, as far as the 1911 UK Census is concerned it is all at present pay to view?

yeah most of the sites are i am just trying to get some info on john's parents but i am going to renew my subscription to see what i can find. i have never been so frustrated as i am with this family.
i wish i had asked my father about his family when he was alive. though i only had a brief time getting to know him he was in england i am in australia.

go to    http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx

(1)  put in John Henderson born 1902, living Alnwick.    You will get three or four.    

 (2)  Click 'search again' on the right.

(3)  delete the name John, delete the year of birth

(4)  Put in the 'other members of the household' box the name John Jobson

search
The rest of the names who are with him will come up. 

If you go to GenesReunited (register don't pay) and put in individual names you'll get their places of birth as well.   

All free. 

You can then go to the 1901 for further info.
