Leicester in the First World War
« on: Tuesday 18 December 12 19:28 GMT (UK) »
Hi I'm working on a new book about Leicester 1914-18. It will be very much focussed on personal stories/memories.

I have a lot of info on soldiers already, but I would like to hear from anyone with info about Leicester women in WW1, especially munitions workers, nurses, tram conductors, postal workers or engine cleaners.

Would also like to hear about any personal memoirs of Leicester 1914-18.

Many thanks
Matthew

If you have discovered any munitions workers I would be interested in any details you can share. My grandmother worked at Hayes in WWI.
