MC NICHOLLS Dungiven
« on: Friday 14 December 12 00:51 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, I'm trying to put together my family tree, I have limited information.  I have gone as far back as a Great great Grandad Patrick and his wife Mary Mc Nicholl.  A Son my great Grandfather John McNicholl born in 1875 who married an Annie Hampson.  They then had 6 of a family the oldest child Mary (I think being born in 1910) Joseph, Barney, Annie, Bridget and then my Grand Father John McNicholl born in 1913 who in turn married a Bridget Quinn... Any info would be very much appreciated...

Just for reference of others reading this, is this the family in 1911?

Hi,
This looks like Patrick and Mary in 1901 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Londonderry/Glenshane/Cashel/1524605/

The 1841 census records, collected for pension purposes in 1908/9,  show a Daniel McNicholl, his wife Mary, daughter Mary age 6, sons William 3 and Edward 1 living in Cashel.

The 1858 Griffiths Valuation show that Daniel was renting a 36 acre farm which he shared with a Bernard McNicholl in Cashell.
