And on daughter's marriage cert of 1939, Miles is noted as deceased.

You can see a marriage certificate? Where is this?

Thank you

John

Very impressive! Thanks for the link.

My one concern about this trail is the Immigration date of 1910 for Miles P, when his is very clearly on the 1911 England & Wales Census.

Cheers

The date of immigration is an issue, but he may have crossed back and forth a couple of times, or he was vague about date to the enumerator (i.e "when did you emigrate?" "About 10 years ago"),  or he was trying to cover his tracks for some reason.

The 1920 census and his daughter's marriage cert both give POB as England, so how many Myles Stantons (and variants) are born c. 1892?

That's a very good point indeed.  Answer: only 1 and that is Miles in 1891.

Something to think about!

Just to note that on his WW1 draft registration it gives born Sept. 14 1892 in Liverpool.

Hard to tell! I think I see his christening on A*try with DOB as Sept. 26,1891.

Thank you Maureen.   I had been wondering about that record - but currently don't have access. This is definitely coming together.

The birth in 1891 is registered in the Dec quarter, so a christening of Sept 91 makes sense.

The discrepancy of the birth dates ('91 vs '92) is a little odd, but there are no other Miles/Myles Stanton/Stauntons born around that date in England & Wales.....

Fascinating & thank you again Maureen.
