...and if possible, a bit more of the handwriting for comparison purposes might be helpful
Looks like "Meriamm" possibly, but as gortonboy says, some context would be good.

The word Merrieum is used as a first name in one google search and as a middle name in others, though the one here, as suggested, needs to be put into context.
