The only thing I find difficult is if I want to find a topic I posted in, or even one I started myself months ago.  It is very difficult to do a search when I can't remember the title of the topic.  I end up putting in words like, the, if, and, help, etc. and hope something is found.  I know I can search under my profile and posts, but it is very time consuming.  I wonder if it would be possible to have a list of topics we've joined in, rather than as at present the actual words we've typed, so that we (or I)  ::) could just read down the list until I came to the one I wanted.

I found the solution to this one - go to your Profile then top left Show Posts - admittedly they are in chronological order so you may have to dig a long way back....

Sorry Trystan, I just thought of something  :-[ .... it is quite a palaver to find another member. Would it be possible to make the process more straighforward? Not an issue for me as I know how to do it, but I think sometimes new members get a bit lost.  :)

Yes, we're doing it so that you type in the first few letters of the member you are thinking of an a suggested list drops down. That way, even if you are not too sure of the spelling then you have a bit of help. :)

Erm, they don't have any roots at all in their logo?

That's lovely Trystan!  ;D Thank you.

One more thing regarding members. I know that we occassionally have 'people' join purely to spam. These are always dealt with very swiftly by the moderators. However they still remain as registered members. I'm wondering why, and should/could they be removed?

Good question, but it's always better to know the thief than to forget them. It means that we can recognize them so that you can stop them next time they try and sneak in. We might look a bit daft, but we've got a "cunning plan". A good doorman always has a memory of faces.

Hi Trystan

Love the new logo. I was always taught in advertising, the more white space around your headline or advert,  the more it will grab attention  ;)(apologies to Erato if I  overuse the smilies ) :) ....and it really does that.
A couple of observations as you have been kind enough to ask  for our opinions:-

The graphic of the roots does sit a little like a spider on the periphery of one's vision sometimes ( it doesn't bother me)  and could easily be adjusted by making the roots look less symmetrical and therefore maybe less spiderlike  by say removing the second main root.

My first reaction to having a small C  in chat was similar  to that of Meles and a few others as the sch part of the word Rootschat when all in lower case made my first thought translate it to the sch sound you associate with school. ie. rootscat.
The three letters together can appear German like too  indicating a sh sound.  A capital C however in my humble opinion  would detract from the  clean lines achieved using the lowercase. An alternative could be to just make the chat part of the  title in a slightly lighter tone of very dark grey .  This is just to quickly  show what I mean .... Personally I would prefer this to a capital C.... But whatever you decide ... congratulations to you  and Sarah for making make this a really great FH site ...
