I do think it's a vast improvement on the original.  The original font gave the impression we were a bunch of old crumblies instead of the modern, forward looking bunch that we are  ;Do

amazon has all changed recently

Has it, I haven't noticed.

I think there are more ayes than nays for the new logo.

I think you have also moved the words  "Welcome back etc with Show unread post since last visit, Show new replies to your posts and the date" to the centre of the page.  Not sure I like that, if the logo is going to be on the left hand side, then I think the Welcome block of words should be on the right hand side - although I don't know what you'd put in the middle then, it might look rather white.

Hello:

I noticed it soon as I logged on today.  I like it and it looks nice and bright.  Changes are ok as long as they are not to hard to work...

Cheers

Looking good!

About the forthcoming changes, the only plea I would make is to keep navigation round the website at least as simple, logical and intuitive as it currently is.   How many websites have you visited where the feature that one would imagine is the most popular / frequently used is hidden away in a submenu to a menu accessible by clicking on a tiny link in size 6 font hidden in a paragraph of narrative seemingly randomly positioned in the bottom half of the screen... you get the drift.  :)

The old font style was a bit clunky, and this new logo is clearer and fresher, but its also a bit blander - a bit 'same as all the rest' if you know what I mean. Its too empty for me; I'd prefer it if you had a slightly thicker font, and maybe if you kept the half-blue background that you had previously.

Also, I preferred the old upper case C in RootsChat.  Emphasising 'chat' like that was a welcoming touch, and is accurate. You log on here, you get Roots and Chat - what it says on the tin. Rootschat, written all as one word - just makes me think of healthy alternatives to tea and coffee  :P

Or (trying to be constructive)  instead of the coloured background and captial C, you could have Roots and Chat in different colours? Roots in brown and Chat in blue perhaps?

I'm sure it'll grow on me whatever you do!
