I apologise if I'm repeating what anyone else has said - I have only read the previous two replies. For what it's worth, I agree with Colin about a slightly larger space between date and time. For me they run into each other and I realise I don't use them, it'd take too long for me to read them or I could easily misread it. My better half is dyslexic and I think it would be a problem for him too.

The logo...
I like the image, nice, fresh and modern look?  It would also work well on a large scale, event banner or something?  I don't like the font/text.  The S is too squashed and possibly others are too rounded, or the spacing is wrong?
Also but lesser for me... I'd have the full stop before 'com' a little darker, and the whole logo at a higher resolution (I might be using the wrong technical terms here!), it looks too blocky, pixel even on my laptop without zooming in, makes me feel like my eyes are blurred.  I realise that might needed to keep file size down (or something to do with computers lol)
Hope that's constructive and you're not going to ban me  ;)

BTW I think this site is great, and thanks for all the work you do for it.

It's supposed to look like that. It's just the style of font.  ;D

I like it.

I did spot the change quite quickly.

My only thought was "have I accessed a new gardening website accidentally?"!!!!

Text and leaves images look crisp, clean and modern. Small c fits in fine...however,
imho the 'roots' over dominate...poss a lighter shade or thinner spread may help
alleviate.....
Personally I would just do away with the 'roots' -  leaving the text and leaves.

But "roots" is what this site is all about - our roots  :)

I agree Bumble ..the Roots are an integral part of what the site is about .. our roots.. our ancestry.  I really like the new logo and merely responded  to some of the comments stated earlier on this thread . These things often evolve through discussion. In response to Skippy's comment  I have lightened the roots graphic as well as chat on this version. ...... :-\
