I've noticed that too Erato.

I do like the new logo but like many others, I would like an upper case C :D, and no apostrophe ;D

Erato, I've had that 'missing lines' thing occasionally.  If you hold down the 'CTRL' key and press '+' once or twice, they reappear as if by magic.

While I'm here, I'll also vote for the new logo + 'C' but no apostrophe thanks 8)

 ;D  ;D  ;D  ???  ;D  ;D  ;D

I will miss the Capital C in the middle  :'(

But I must also admit that I rarely actually look at logos on any website.  To me they are just the "trimmings" to the substance.  If the substance is no good, then the trimmings are there to distract me.  If the substance is worthwhile, then the trimmings are of no concern to me whatsoever.

Many Cheers,   JM  (this image is from Mr Goggle's 'images')

Erato - That has happened on my laptop in the past, but when I asked about it no-one else had had the problem.  Fortunately, it's not happened recently.

P.S. Any ideas on how to improve content gratefully received.

Trystan - The only thing I find difficult is if I want to find a topic I posted in, or even one I started myself months ago.  It is very difficult to do a search when I can't remember the title of the topic.  I end up putting in words like, the, if, and, help, etc. and hope something is found.  I know I can search under my profile and posts, but it is very time consuming.  I wonder if it would be possible to have a list of topics we've joined in, rather than as at present the actual words we've typed, so that we (or I)  ::) could just read down the list until I came to the one I wanted.

On my monitor, the ad below the "welcome/forum/help etc" sits really close under the bar, and it is a lot larger than the "welcome" bar, so the words on the bar get a bit lost in amongst the ad.

Is there any way that the area for the ad can be moved a bit lower down to give some space below the bar (which would make it stand out more), or alternatively the words on the bar enlarged or outlined to make them stand out? As it is they have to compete with the ad.

[There is no problem when the ad in the same area is just lists of words inside the coloured area which also contains the bar. The problem only arises when there is a highly coloured ad.]

In fact I have just noticed that all the coloured ads (I am looking at an ad for a bank atm) - are very close to the rootschat words, so maybe some more space around all of the ad boxes would make the words stand out more? I see rootschat.com>general>the common room>the lighter side>post reply (re new rootschat logo), then an ad - the top of the ad box is touching the letters of "post reply (re new rootschat logo). I don't think it should touch the letters.  ;)

I'm not sure that I have explained myself very well, but I hope you can follow. In the long run it is not really important, and is just visual.

Regarding other changes, there is nothing that immediately comes to mind except that in the past I have lost all of my messages by accidentally clicking the delete button. (I know that others have had the same issue) So perhaps a warning box could appear to double check that you do actually want to" delete all messages", might save a few tears.  :)

I am just so used to the way everything works that I can't think of any other problems with the site.

You're bad.  8) I need to add a "slap face with wet fish" option before we do something daft. I really wish I'd installed that (for myself) a long time ago.

Sorry Trystan, I just thought of something  :-[ .... it is quite a palaver to find another member. Would it be possible to make the process more straighforward? Not an issue for me as I know how to do it, but I think sometimes new members get a bit lost.  :)

Evening
I like the freshness of the new logo, but like others immediately noticed it as spidery and I hate spiders, but it will be fine. :)

As for suggestions-  don't move things from the left of a page to the right ( or from top to the bottom) without very clearly telling us ( like other computer software sometimes does eg IE8 - IE9 moved its favourites over)
Don't reduce the font size of anything - as we get older or have impaired eyesight clear reasonable sized fonts are very helpful.

Thanks for letting us know too about some changes - some of us cope better with warning!!!
