Look-up...OLDHAM (GREENACRES) CEMETERY

Hello,

I'm looking for a grave look-up and a photo if possible. Its of a relative of mine who i think is burried in the Oldham Greenacres Cemetary. The details are as follows....

There are alot of images of the burial registers on familysearch but unfortunately, the Greenacres ones go up to 1939 and then there is a big gap. There are grave registers on the site but you would need to look through them all to see who bought the grave.

I can't find him or his parents on the www.oldham.gov website. There is an Annie Travis - possibly his wife buried in Greenacres but she is alone in a new grave.

If you go to www.twgpp.org The War Graves Photgraphic Project and then search for John William Travis you will find they have a photo of the grave and you can then order a copy.

This grave was purchased by Margaret Travis - 5th April 1939 - address is blanked out

and contains 4 burials

Sorry no names, have not been wrote into the books

1/ 5th April 1939 aged 82
2/ 4th May 1940 aged 37
3/ 6th June 1950 aged 85
4/ 25th Feb 1956 aged 66 

From Jan 1939 to April 1993 all the registers are missing - as for the grave location it should not be to hard to find as it is running against a boundary wall next to Clarksefield Street according to the plot plan, if any Oldhamers feel the need to help Mark

25th Feb 1956 aged 66  - William M Travis

5th April 1939 aged 82 - can't link this age to a Travis death entry in the March or June qtr 1939
