i have just been given a album of old photos put together in 1892 but not many have names on them but there are a few that are very intresting can anyone help me date them ,

Slade Dorset & England

1860's.Probably early-mid.
For dating it's always best to show all of it + the back.

Hi Jim ,had the photos sent by Ipad but as far as i can remember there was nothing on the back ,most of them were like a brown back like a hard card or formica type stuff not card ,the trouble is there are about 70 of them not as old as the one i posted but very old ones .

as far as i can rememer it felt like metal Brown in colour

Thanks Jim just had a look intresting also have just received a book i ordered Family Photographs & how to date them ,will have a good look and see what i can find out .
