hi i am also researching the Ryan family .I have just received  the birth certificate of Thomas Francis Ryan 1881 (john M Ryan's son )to confirm his mother's name which is Annie Amelia Trebell .  On the ancestry site there are around four Michael Ryans born around 1810 and I have to go through each family to rule out possible dads to John f Ryan 1830. I am at the same point as you with my search and will happily inform you if I get anywhere The main stumbling block is that there are so many same name families that came over at the same time

Nice to find someone else following the line . Thanks for the support as and when....
The Trebel ( and variants ) I might be able to help with ? or at least share anything I have at present although I've not been working on the line for a while and may have to look at it for a short while to become ' au fait ' with it again .
Hope to speak soon ,
Regards ,
Garry

My name is Thomas. John Michael Ryan abt 1854 is my great grandfather. I am really interested to know, as you are also tracing your family, if we are, indeed related? Would it be possible to let me know. I understand if you would not. And best wishes to you in your search.

We certainly are related and he is my g , g , g grandfather on my Ryan surname line .
His eldest son William ( ( b . 1873 also shown as Thomas William Henry Ryan on certs ) was my g , g grandfather who mrd . Esther Emily Richards . They had an eldest daughter ( I believe ) Esther Emily Ryan who mrd . Edwin George ( my surname ) , who had Edwin George , who had Barry George and then myself .
Please check for my post message to you where I will elaborate further .
