Have you checked the surnames board?

I have Bulmers 'History & Directory of West Cumberland' 1883.
In it there is a James Millington - Shop Keeper at Kirkgate in Cockermouth.

There are also Alfred, Annie, J.W., Jane Alice, John Wilson, and two Joseph Millingtons  buried in cockermouth cemetery on the www.cockermouthmuseumgroup.org.uk site.
