Do you have any idea which part of 'Dublin' ?

it can refer to the city,  suburbs or county, and there are quite a few parishes involved... 1798 is before the start of the available records for many areas.

see : Introduction to Irish Records
My Ancestor came from Ireland - where do I start?

Many RC and Church of Ireland parish records for the city area are included on www.irishgenealogy.ie (free).  St. Anne's was a Church of Ireland parish, and some of it's records are included - but no marriages that I can see for the 1820s..

there are various public tree online - but they give varying details. All are consistent with year and place of death for William, but vary in his parents names - one has William Bell Rogerson and Mary Ann McGill, another John Rogerson and Mary Anne Bell. Unfortunately none of these trees include any source, other than an index reference to a death of William in 1877 in Anglesey.

Do you have names and years of birth for the children born in Dublin as mentioned in your other in your Anglesey thread in reply #7 ?

Finding baptisms for these could help give a starting parish to follow up in Dublin..

address seems to be 34 Cononbury St., Islington

William Rogerson, age 52 (c1799), born Ireland, Dublin City
wife Annie I Rogerson, 44 born Ireland, Dublin City
  and children Ellen M. age 26, Mary A. 24
  Emily F. 20, Louisa J.   18, Adelaida 17
  Florence J. 11, William T. 9, James D.   6
  and George age 4

William's occupation is shown as 'Elastic Fabric Merchant'

Reference : HO107 / 1501 / 581 / Page 16

All the children born Ireland, Dublin City, except George, born Liverpool.

Do you know Mary. J's maiden name ?

found one of the baptisms... in the Church of Ireland parish of Clontarf, which was a suburb, north of the City.

Baptism of William Thomas Rogerson -  24 February 1842
   Address : Elm Mount, Donnycarney
Parents : William Bell Rogerson and Anne Jane
