I have an extensive history on the Skeats/Montgomery family out of Southampton etc.  However I am looking now for the first JOHN SKEATS who was father of Nathaniel born 1807 at Hereford.  So many Nathaniel Skeats are born in Southampton and Appleshaw region of Hampshire, which seems to say there is a connection.  However, I am just looking for John Skeats who was the father of Nathaniel in 1807 Hereford. I have much to share re the large family who followed.  Thelma in Australia.

Hi I cannot find any skeats in herefordshire but nathaniel seems to have been born in hertfordshire
the two counties are often confused  :) :) :)
