How did you do that direct link KG.
I contacted GeoHive about not being able to do direct links as we could on the old MapViewer and they said they were working on it, that was ages ago and no joy yet.
What are you using, please?
Hi Sinann,
I discovered a way to create a link to a map on GeoHive, but it was forever loading without bringing up the map. I e-mailed them with my step-by-step procedure last Monday and asked if they could fix it. An employee from OSi, Business & Marketing e-mailed back with this quote:
“This item has now been resolved and you will now be able to view your webmap in GeoHive.”
Here’s how to do it:
• Open Geohive
http://map.geohive.ie/mapviewer.html• In Base Information & mapping (on left) choose your map
• Enter your place of search (in search box at top) let’s say Barrackton, click and then click on AN POST, Barrackton Post Office, 15 Military Road
• Up comes the map, adjust the size and remove the little box
• Click on ‘Share’ in top left, then click Disc icon (Save)
• A box comes up –
Add title and description (anything!), then ‘Save Map’
• Gives link to webmap, right click it and copy address
