O'Connor Andrew
« on: Tuesday 20 November 12 10:50 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for info on Andrew O'Connor, born in 1871 in Boherbue, County Cork, Ireland.  He travelled to San Francisco and stayed for 20 years I believe before returning to Cork to marry Margaret Buckley.  Children were Eileen, Pat, Jerramiah, Daniel, John and Andrew.  He died in 1930.  Would love to find out when exactly he went to the US, what he did there and when he returned.  I'm afraid I don't have DOBs for his children or wife.  Any help is appreciated.

Also this one, which looks like the same man perhaps returning after a holiday

Andy OConnor
aged 31 DOB aby 1871
Queenstown to NY
single, Ag Lab
sailed 16th June 1902
Oceanic

He was going to St Louis and says he hasn't been to America before, so probably not him

This record looks to be correct. It states he was born in Boherbue Co cork. Going to his brother Daniel O Connor 1053 Surbutom Terrace St Louis (address difficult to read correctly).
There is another record for a David O Connor (maybe a brother to Andrew, from Boherboy (maybe Boherbue co cork) Arrival 8th April 1894 b. c. 1868. Queenstown to Boston Ship Gallia. Going to brother William O Connor, University St, St Louis Missouri  :)

Hi

If that is the correct record that I found in 1902, and if it had been recorded correctly that it was his first visit to America, you should be able to find him in the 1901 census.
