Hi everyone,

I know it's a bit late, but I've only just found this thread, so I hope you'll bear with me.  I'm trying to connect my Carson ancestors from Armagh.  My 3 x Gt Grandfather was Thomas Carson and according to the info I have from censuses he was born in Armagh and was a Joiner.  He had a daughter Maria who married a James Sinnott from Dublin.

Do you think there is any connection with your Carson family?  Any help most gratefully accepted.  Thanks.

Thank you 'Preston',

I apologise for this great pause in communication but I have been abroad for a while and my genealogy details were in England.

I have seen the flax growers list for Armagh 1796 but until I get some connection back from John or James (both carpenters) to another name, I'm stuck.

I must visit the area and look at the Newry 1901 census page by page and try to find the deaths of Richard and Elizabeth.
Jill

My Great Grandfather was William John Carson, born 07 Apr 1869, father Richard Carson and mother Eliza Carson. William John was married to Catherine Carson (Kate) who died in Newtown Hamilton some time between 1903 and 1914.   They had 3 children, James, Elisabeth and Helen. If you find her grave stone it would be a big help or anything else related to the Carson family.  Thanks Jill ; )

I wonder if this is the same person who put a message on (don't know if I'm allowed to use the website name so I wont) back in 2005 re Richard and James Carson.  I've just left a message for her today, the website say she is still active, so if I have any luck I'll let you know.

This lady was last online on RootsChat in November 2010, there was nothing I could find after this date with the information she had given.

Does anyone have any information of the deaths/births of Richard and Eliza Carson?  Still can't find anything!

Donnaboo,

I too am researching this Carson family.  As I said earlier, I've tried to contact Jill through another site and if she gets in touch I'll report back on here.  Regards
