Census lookup - De FRAINE family
« on: Thursday 15 November 12 00:17 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

1841
HO107 440/3/3/1
County: Hertfordshire
Address: High Street, Great Berkhampstead
William De Fraine (perfumer)  40
Ann De Fraine  44
William De Fraine  17
Ann De Fraine  15
Louisa De Fraine  12
Betsy De Fraine  10
Charles De Fraine  7
George De Fraine  5
Philip De Fraine  2

I'd like a look up please for the family in 1851 and 1861.

William senior is in Hertfordshire and William junior is in Bedfordshire 1851.  I don't know where they are in 1861.

Thanks,

Fred

William De Fraine aged 50 born abt 1801. Head. Spouse: Anne De Fraine. Born Born Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. Civil Parish: Great Berkhamstead. Town: Great Berkhamstead. County: Hertfordshire. Household schedule no: 92. Piece: 1716. Folio: 77. Page Number: 24. Household members: William 50, Ann 53, Louisa 22, Charles 17, George H 15, Philip 12

It seems that Ann died between 1861 and 1871, and William remarried again to a woman called Emma Cowcher Thomas on November 6 1867 in the parish of Marylebone. He was a perfumer. Here they are on the 1871 Census

Hello Steve,

Thank you very much.

It will take me some time to go through it all. I'm aware there are several large trees on-line and not all are correct or complete.

Regards,

Fred
