1791 - Syleham Marriage Record RUDDOCK
« on: Sunday 11 November 12 21:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I would be very grateful if somebody could look up a marriage on the parish records for me. :)

According to the Pallots Marriage index the wedding took place in Syleham Suffolk in 1791 (approx October) between Thomas Ruddock & Mary Allen.

Many Thanks,

Sarah

Thanks for coming back to me Claire. That is helpful. Do you think the parish records would hold more info? What I am really hoping to find is whether Thomas was a widow?

Thanks

Sarah

I looked at the Syleham parish records for you while at the records office today but they seem to say even less than the "extracted" record above.
No status of bride or groom given, and no parish for Thomas Ruddock either.
Possibly the record came from the bishops transcripts?

Thank you so much for looking for me, that is very kind of you.  :)

It is strange that there was not more info as the extract must have got it from somewhere  ??? I really need to find the full extract. Do you know are the AT or BT for Syleham available online anywhere?

Syleham doesn't appear to be on freereg either? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks again for all your help,

Sarah  :)

Very few Suffolk PRs are available on line.  It is hoped that digitisation will begin soon.
