Have you tried looking at cemetery records. Do you know where they died?

No Heather I no he died in moston and that is all I no, I only found out he had died becouse I was lookind for his brother and was told he had walked away from the family some years ago.

Have a look on www.burialrecords.manchester.gov.uk/

I don't know if they are up to date. I know that the www.tameside.gov.uk records are updated very quickly. Oldham records are also available on line
