In which case, was there any uncles living in New Zealand at the same time? or maybe its someone's employer and his wife.  Was the bride in service prior to marriage?

although that gent on the left has grey hair, he doesn't look very old, to my way of thinking - so I reckon he could be father - don't think the woman in front look too old either - so I think  they could be parents.

You might be onto something there.
It was suggested by the person that passed the picture on, that man with grey hair on the left was possibly the father. But it was just guess work .  The woman in the front sitting down is 26 even tho I think she looks younger .

I'm with Maureen. I would have thought that tradition dictates that the brides family is to the left (as in her left).    I've tried to find evidence that this is how photos were posed, but haven't been able to find anything as yet.

yes thats possible, along with the traditional photo order there could also be one with just brides family and/or one with just grooms family.  Without other photos to compare likenesses I don't think you are going to be any nearer finding out who they are for definite.

Well I dont know if it will help in anyway but I have this picture of the Groom's 2nd marriage. The brides mother was no longer alive.I am wondering if the lady on the right of the bride could be her grandmother which would be the same as the brides mother in the 1st photo.

Are you sure it isn't a matron-of-honour or something - with that huge bunch of flowers??     :-\ :-\

Thats totally possible WiggyHobbes. The only two I know in the picture are the bride and groom.
But when the 1st wife died the groom married his wifes niece. (his niece by marriage).  I really have no idea who the older lady is.
