Dear Beth,

Have you seen this?

It may or may not be of any help.

Yes, I have seen this before. I have a feeling that it was used as a convalescence home or something along those lines too but can't find anyone with any information.

Hi beth
If I am correct Dimlands House was used as a guest house from the 1940s possibly until it was demolished. My grandparents moved into it sometime between 1942 and 1949 and ran it as an up market guest house.  It was guarded by an alsation dog called Rex.  I know they were still there in the 1950s but not sure after that.
Hope this helps.
