I don,t have birth dates for anyone other than those shown . I don,t have information on francis and janes mothers and fathers. Son james was born in 1839 . So francis probably dates to early 1800s.I would also be interested to know if any decendents are around. THANKS WILLIAM GREENE

Hi William, you are lucky to have these records already.  Its difficult to know what irish records you have searched for example knowing Ros Davies Co Down website on Rootsweb is good on marriage in particular the bride, I had  a quick look up and revealed Miss   Annie KEITH. Loughinisland   regd. Clough ; wife of Francis Greene; mother of Annie Jane b. 1868 & Thomas James b. 1870 & Francis Waring Greene b. 1873 CR so presumably  you know about this and hence you include Clough? Do you know all the marriage details from a church record?
The loughinisland reference is what I was after. What do you know about Seaford. My advice is to offer more in particular every townland and civil parish as that is how many sources are listed,  have you already exhausted familysearch.com. You quote you have baptisms, which church can help backwards and forward.
Kilmegan records are not straightforward, hence me asking for townland references These early 1860s get complex sometimes as to whether there are good clues in Griffiths valuation eg Thomas might have moved house during the valuation from Kilmegan to Loughinisland.

Good luck in your quest Over to you

Thanks again for all the input . When i plugged in downpatrick as a registery , i got the following :

Francis greene    The father b. 1802 d, 1873 reg. downpatrick (may be father of thomas and francis) .

Jane anne greene   (jane keown ?
) the mother and possible wife of francis the father .

Thomas greene  Possibly a son married to sarah mcilroy b. 1836 d. 1897 reg. downpatrict. Children margaret , francis catherine , letitia , francis john ,john , james ,mary elizabeth , and annie jane .

Francis greene  Possibily a son married to anny keith daughter of george keith. b. 1842 d. 1907 downpatrick registration district. children francis waring , annie jane ,thomas james , and george .  I can,t find a townland
for any of these people
James immigrated to canada b. 1839 d. 1884 toronto canada.

Francis john, son of thomas , immigrated to canada in 1901 . Can,t find any further trace.

Hi Bill, years ago I made a rushed index for my own use in a library that I was thankfully employed in, and your mention of Downpatrick triggered my memory.  One Green and one Greene family trees etc appear in Blackwood Family history manuscript trees in the LinenHall Library, Belfast. As you probably live in Canada, then I suggest you ask them for photocopying estimates if they think your knowledge relevant and be prepared to pay the extra for post and packing. Perhaps only start with the Greene tree However if the material is really relevant when you get it, I suggest a further donation to this unique library that is always needing extra funds. Linen Hall Library,17 Donegall Square North, Belfast BT15GB, Northern Ireland, Its website has contact tel, email etc
   The volume references are
GREEN      52p16 has been marked wrong ref?   so ignore
GREENE   27 However i didnt add page numbers which suggests to me either it has a contents page or the volume had no page numbers
Hoping this is includes new information for you. The library also had mss on Loughinisland, but that was outside the actual tree collections I tried to index.
This morning I looked at Griffiths valuation but wasn't able to get on it. I looked at your other posts, have you looked for your surnames in Dungiven in Griffiths {you might need to know what civil parish it falls into}
good luck, Jim

I also found a waring greene of kilkeel husband of margaret orr and father of john and francis b. 1846 d. 1894 . This may be another brother of thomas , francis and james. James had a son named waring.

Also found a thomas greene of loughenisland  registered owner of the sloop rose .

If anyone can shed any light let me know. Thanks Wiiliam J. Greene USA
